Enquadramento

Ubiwhere is a technology company with a strong focus on the research and development of cutting-edge solutions in Smart Cities and Telecommunications. Over the years, we have built an extensive portfolio of innovative projects, particularly in the realms of 5G and now 6G. Our involvement in numerous consortia and collaborative projects has placed us at the forefront of next-generation internet development, driving advancements that promise to reshape the telecommunications landscape.

Our experience with 5G has laid a solid foundation for our current efforts in 6G. We have successfully developed and implemented solutions that leverage the capabilities of 5G networks, such as enhanced mobile broadband, ultra-reliable low latency communications, and massive machine-type communications. These projects have equipped us with the expertise and insights necessary to tackle the complexities of 6G, which aims to further enhance network performance, efficiency, and intelligence.

In this dissertation, we aim to investigate and develop a proof of concept for Zero-Touch Management (ZSM) within the 6G framework. ZSM represents a significant leap forward in network automation, allowing for fully autonomous operations without human intervention. This capability is crucial for managing the increasingly complex and dynamic nature of 6G networks, which will integrate diverse technologies and services into a cohesive, intelligent system.

Objetivo

The primary goals of this work are:
1. Study the state-of-the-art in Zero-Touch Management in 6G:
- Conduct a comprehensive literature review and analysis of current advancements and practices in ZSM for 6G networks.
- Identify the key challenges and opportunities associated with implementing ZSM in a 6G environment.

2. Research and Develop a solution for ZSM in the context of 6G:
- Research and design an innovative solution that meets the requirements of Zero Touch Management within the 6G framework.
- Ensure the solution integrates seamlessly with existing 6G technologies and supports dynamic network operations.

3. Design and Develop the Proposed Solution:
- Implement the designed solution, ensuring it addresses the specific needs and challenges associated with ZSM in 6G networks.
- Focus on creating a robust, scalable, and adaptable framework that can be deployed in various 6G scenarios.

4. Validation and Testing:
- Conduct rigorous validation and acceptance testing to ensure the solution's reliability, performance, and compliance with ZSM standards in 6G networks.
- Use real-world scenarios and simulations to assess the effectiveness of the solution.

5. Dissertation Writing:
Document the entire research, development, and testing process in a detailed dissertation, highlighting key findings, methodologies, and the overall impact of the project.

By achieving these objectives, this project will significantly advance Ubiwhere's capabilities in 6G network management. It will provide a cutting-edge solution for zero-touch management that enhances the efficiency and reliability of future network infrastructures. Our extensive experience in 5G and ongoing contributions to 6G R&D ensure that we are well-equipped to meet the challenges and opportunities of the next generation of telecommunications. This project will reinforce our position as a leader in smart city and telecommunications innovation, driving forward the development of intelligent, autonomous network solutions for the future.
