Enquadramento

Do you love New Technologies, Marine Life, Big Data Analytics or AI? We do! At Critical Software, we are charting the intersection of animal conservation, machine learning, and big data technology!

Critical Software is a leading global software services and products company. We invest time and energy into every member of our team throughout every step of their journey with us. We believe that talented people deserve to work for an excellent company, and we pursue excellence in every area.

We currently looking to fill a new position as a computer machine learning engineer internship to develop a proof of concept of a computer algorithm and service that is able to detect and recognize sea turtles from images in social media.

Objetivo

In this role, you will be engaged in fundamental research in deep learning neural networks and development of a computer algorithm using off-the-shelf components and AI frameworks and / or cloud based services for rapid product prototyping. You will develop a novel computer algorithm to extract information from images available on social medias by using sea turtle detection and recognition and scene understanding. Moving beyond what is possible to do with off-the-shelf software.

This goal can be subdivided in:
- Defining the Scope and Requirements of the System
- Creating the Technical Specification and Selecting the Development Platform
- Development of the Solution, as a proof of concept.
- Testing and Benchmarking the Solution

Critical Software’s interns will gain experience in algorithm development and imagery data analysis including object detection/ classification, and image classification / segmentation while working in an agile team environment directly partnered with the project manager for delivery of user specific products.

This is an exciting opportunity for talented and hard-working students who are interested in developing the next-gen image identification AI to gain hands-on experience developing next to top-rated developers and have a real impact on sea turtle conservation.
