Enquadramento

JLM Innovation is developing sensor systems and cloud solutions for applications in
environmental monitoring, healthcare, indutrial and home automation.
JLM Innovation is also involved in scientific societies for chemical sensing and artificial
olfaction and participates in European and national research projects.

Objetivo

The internship will be embedded in the development team at JLM with the aim of developing
a web application using the a web framework and databases to create a platform for heating
energy assessment of homes. This platform will allow users to register, answer a detailed
questionnaire that defines the characteristics of their homes, and based on these answers,
progressively generate a 3D representation of the house with the selected features. Finnaly,
the application will integrate with climate and location APIs to accurately calculate necessary
house heating energy consumption.

Work plan first semester:
1) Define the detailed requirements of the project, including the features of the application,
the integration of the climate and location APIs and the details of the 3D representation of
the house.
2) Create the application architecture, identifying the main components and the technologies
to be used.
3) Start development of the application's backend, including implementation of user
authentication, creation of the database and development of the form to collect user
responses.

Work plan second semester:
4) Continue developing the backend, implementing the logic needed to generate the 3D
representation of the house based on user responses.
5) Develop the application's frontend, creating the user interface that will allow users to
interact with the questionnaire and view the 3D representation of the house.
6) Integrate the climate and location APIs to accurately calculate the energy consumption of
the house and implement the functionality for sending data to the energy calculation server.
7) Testing and documentation.

Condições

Internship is on premise with support through the ERASMUS plus EU4EU programme.
