Enquadramento

This internship aims to provide the intern with practical experience in the field of low-code workflow automation & Observability engineering, allowing them to:

• Develop proficiency in automation, monitoring and observability platforms.

• Gain hands-on experience in designing, building, and deploying automated workflows and solutions.

• Understand the principles of business process analysis and process optimisation.

• Learn how to integrate solutions with existing systems.

• Contribute to real-world projects within an enterprise environment.

• Develop essential people skills, including teamwork, communication, and problem-solving.

Objetivo

Upon completion of this internship, the intern is expected to have achieved the following learning outcomes:

• Practical experience in designing, developing, and deploying automations and workflows.

• Understanding of both the Technology platforms used within CAG and the business processes

• Knowledge of system integration techniques in the context of automation platforms.

• Improved teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• A portfolio of completed works demonstrating their abilities and deliverables, including however not limited to:
o Establish an Automation assessment and payback framework
o Operational “run” dashboards and error handling
o Documented testing framework
o Establish visual KPI dashboards and reporting
o Competed Automation workflow deployment, from initial design through to production use.

Plano de Trabalhos - Semestre 1

The intern will be involved in the following activities:

Requirements Gathering: Participating in meetings with stakeholders to understand needs and document requirements for projects.
Workflow Design: Creating visual representations of automated processes using the chosen low-code platform.

Plano de Trabalhos - Semestre 2

The intern will be involved in the following activities:

Requirements Gathering: Participating in meetings with stakeholders to understand needs and document requirements for projects.

Workflow Design: Creating visual representations of automated processes using the chosen low-code platform.

Development & Testing: Building and testing automations, ensuring they meet the defined requirements and function correctly.

Deployment & Implementation: Assisting in the deployment and implementation of automated solutions.

Documentation: Creating and maintaining documentation for developed workflows, including user manuals and technical specifications.

System Integration: Exploring integration options between platforms and other business systems (ServiceNow, Dynatrace, PagerDuty, Entra).

Troubleshooting & Support: Providing support for existing automations and troubleshooting any issues.

Research & Learning: Research and learn about best practices and techniques in Automation technology.

Project Participation: Contributing to ongoing projects within the company related to process improvement and automation.

Condições

The intern will have the following conditions:

• Work equipment (computer)
• Hybrid work model (maximum 1x per week in the office)
• Monthly Compensation (to be discussed with student later on)
• Meal allowance

The intern's performance will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

Technical Skills: Proficiency in using the relevant platforms and engineering skills

Problem Solving Abilities: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to automation projects.

• Communication Skills: Effectiveness in communicating with stakeholders and team members.

Teamwork: Contribution to team efforts and collaboration with colleagues.

Professionalism: Adherence to company policies and professional conduct.

Project Deliverables: Quality and timeliness of completed projects.

Evaluation Methods:
• Regular meetings with the mentor with formal biweekly check-ins to discuss progress and provide feedback.
• Performance review by the mentor/ sponsor at the midpoint and end of the internship.
• Intern's self-assessment of their learning and achievements.
