Enquadramento

This project will focus on developing a short animated film working directly with professional illustrator Ana Biscaia. The film will be developed to accompany a specific piece of music. The student will collaborate directly with the illustrator to create the concept for the piece and then to produce the actual media. The imagery will be provided by the illustrator while the student will make the actual animation. The theoretical part of the study will be to explore contemporary work in this field as well as looking at historical examples of innovative animation and studying the relation between sound and image. The student will seek to make an overview of the way in which new technologies can be coupled with traditional image making techniques.
