Given the recent advances in processing speed for the iphone and ipad, it is now possible to do near real time face-recognition in these devices. Giving a good challenge to implement simulated 3D with head tracking.
Objetivo
The ultimate goal is to perform a computational study of head tracking algorithms to implement a real time 3D simulator. Some of these algorithms are already implemented in open computer vision library, but require tweaking to be able to run in real time on a low processing device, and still save processing time for 3D rendering. The real time 3D simulator should be implemented as a 3D game for the iPad.
This project requires deep research skills, algorithmic awareness and a sound software engineering mindset to be able to produce a working version of the system.
The implementation of this game will create a unique and innovative game that isn't available in any platform at the moment.
