In continuous data replication scenarios between disparate systems, failures often occur due to process compliance issues or technical errors, leading to data misalignment between source and target(s). Determining the root cause for recurring issues can become a time-consuming and repetitive task when manually performed, leading to permanent maintenance costs for corporations and fatigue for resources that perform this kind of activities.
However, when most of the detected issues rely on data patterns or recognized user actions, a semi-automated solution is possible by assessing historic scenarios and creating “knowledge” that helps predict the root cause for new errors. This allows companies to automatically detect the cause of errors and act more quickly on its correction.
This project’s goal is to explore existing tools in the SAP domain and depending on the outcome, leverage them (or not) to implement an application capable of automatically fetching data from different sources, compare it (applying conversion rules if needed), present the root cause and recommended action for each replication failure, based on patterns configured.
The data to test will be from our SuccessFactors development environment. For GDPR reasons it is recommended that only fictitious data be considered.

GOALS
Acquire knowledge in the HR domain and SAP technologies. Understand the logic behind data replications and usual errors that occur. Expand architectural, implementation and soft skills by working in an agile, committed team.
Improve ability to solve recurring issues with minimal effort and acquire experience in the implementation of new features and tools.
