ISR-Softhand is an underactuated anthropomorphic hand that is developed for prosthesis applications. In addition to the softhand, soft tactile and stretchable sensors have been developed which will be used as "skin" and joint encoders of the hand.

Objetivo
The aim of this project is to control the ISR-Softhand motion patterns, by using surface EMG sensors as an input signal.
ISR-Softhand is an underactuated anthropomorphic hand that is developed for prosthesis applications. 6 motor synergies or simply 6 motion patterns have been created for ISR-Softhand. Now using EMG sensors, we would like to control the hand. This task was already achieved with an off-the shelf wristband product called Myo. However we would like to develop a wristband based on low cost surface EMG sensors for this purpose.

1. Sensor Interfacing with a Micro controller

3. Sending appropriate commands to control the hand
4. A prototype of the device as a start point for a commercial product
Please note that the hand is already developed and working.
Also note that selection of this project does not gurantee that the student will be selected for the project since several students from different departments may apply to the project.
