Enquadramento
The work to be performed is integrated within the PT2020 project MobiWise and aims at the development of solutions for resilient communications in smart cities.
Objetivo
Within the context of the MobiWise project, LCT is developing a prototype of Smart Cities to demonstrate research results in the area of 5G communications concerning low-latency, resilient and energy efficient communications. This prototype will encompass different components such as transports, streetlights, traffic lights, and sensors. The master's thesis work will consist in developing and evaluating algorithms for resilient communications within the cloud-based Internet of Things (IoT), while satisfying energy and quality of service requirements. The algorithms will be implemented on IoT devices including different sensors, such as temperature and noise, and integrated within a cloud-based infrastructure.
