Wizdee Discovery (http://wizdee.com/discovery) is a disruptive business discovery solution that empowers its users with a simple and intuitive way of answering business questions. It makes analytics simple and easy to use for everyone, through a natural language search tool that provides instant answers and eye catching visualisations. Wizdee Discovery is a combination of statistics, machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms that are in the basis of the next generation of Business Intelligence tools.
Objetivo
The focus of Wizdee Discovery is to facilitate the user’s access to relevant information, and to better adequate the results provided by Wizdee Discovery to the needs of the user, it is necessary to build a user profile and learn the behaviour of the user through their data discovery paths. The information gathered can be used, for instance, to decide which query interpretation makes more sense in a specific context or what kind go chart is more adequate to present the results to a specific user.
Another important aspect of business discovery is the ability to share information and collaborate. It is important that the insights gathered by a user can be easily shared and discussed with other users. As a modern business discovery solution, Wizdee Discovery must provide a set of collaborative features to facilitate the building and sharing of analytics reports.
The main objective of this work is the development of the following modules in the Wizdee Discovery solution:
- User Personalization: Gather the user behaviour information for building user profiles and use this information to improve the user productivity.
- User Collaboration: Implement a set of features that facilitate sharing of results and collaboration between users.

Wizdee is a spin-off of University of Coimbra, Portugal, founded by a team with a strong background in knowledge management, artificial intelligence and natural language processing. Following years of research and development, the company raised $1M from seed investors Portugal Ventures and Novabase Capital to support the development of Wizdee Discovery, a disruptive business discovery solution.
