This internship aims to design and implement a seamless integration between Intermedia’s AI platform and its Integrations Platform using the Model Context Protocol. The focus is to enable AI agents to autonomously interact with Intermedia’s communication services—such as voice, video conferencing, and contact center features—through MCP’s standardized communication framework.
Objetivo
- Develop and test MCP clients and servers to bridge the AI and Integrations platforms
- Create a working prototype that demonstrates AI-driven interaction with Intermedia services via MCP
- Evaluate the performance, reliability, and scalability of MCP integration in production-like environments
- Produce comprehensive documentation and training materials for future developers and platform engineers

- Onboard to Intermedia’s AI and Integrations Platforms
- Understand the architecture and APIs involved in MCP and Intermedia services
- Research and compare MCP implementation
- Design the integration blueprint for MCP client-server implementation
- Simulate MCP-based interactions using test data and mock services
Plano de Trabalhos - Semestre 2
- Deploy MCP prototype within a controlled environment connected to real APIs
- Evaluate performance under load and during real-time communication scenarios
- Document the integration process, APIs, configuration options, and deployment workflows
- Create training materials and developer onboarding resources
- Deliver a final presentation showcasing MCP-powered AI interactions across services
Condições
- Monthly stipend of €900, based on a full-time commitment (40 hours per week)
- Hybrid work model: interns are expected to work from the company office 2–3 days per week
- PC or Mac for the duration of the internship
- Integration into a Product Area team, working closely with engineers and stakeholders
- A dedicated mentor will be assigned to support the intern’s development and success
Observações
What We Are Looking For
- Self-motivated individuals with a strong desire to learn and a collaborative mindset
- Final-year Master’s students in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields
- Proficiency in backend development with Python, .NET or Java
- Understanding of modern integration protocols and APIs (REST, gRPC, pub/sub)
- Interest in AI-driven systems, communication platforms and service orchestration
- Familiarity with cloud environments and containerized deployments is a plus
